Anna Lasbury is a multifaceted creative based in Chicago. Using “cake” as her medium, Anna crafts intentionally imperfect messages to celebrate the human experience. Her work honors life’s messy moments through themes of love, encouragement, and humor. 

Anna leaves her cake creations around Chicago for passerby’s to take home, and hopes to expand this tradition worldwide. 

Her delicious looking canvases bring color to the mundane and remind us that every day brings an unexpected reason to celebrate. From her massive, maximalist installations to tiny fake cupcakes, her artwork’s purpose is to spread joy. 

Anna’s latest installation entitled, “Life is Messy.” is now on display at the WNDR Museum Chicago through much of 2025.
